Fawns

Fawns are the epitome of innocence and beauty. For weeks, we've been searching for and photographing fawns along the Sun River. In August, the fawns are feeling pretty independent and they come out into the fields and along the roads, so we're able to see them. We learn so much watching them.

    Wondering

Beautiful fawn wonders who you are and why you're watching him. Wary innocence at it's best.

    And Who are You?

This photo is a crop version of the above photo. I just loved this face and wanted to give it some special attention. It might not make a large print. Click the buy button and try the different options to see what it will fit and what print is best. You are not charged until you go to the check out cart.

    Swish

Loved that tail swish! These deer are not named white tails for no reason.

  • I scouted out fawns along the Sun River for weeks. I got to know their habits and one doe, mother of twins, would cross the gravel road each night. I asked Robert to come along with me on this evening, and he was driving. I told him when the deer would cross, and told him where to position the car so we could get photos. I was outside the car, and told him to come out, grab the other camera and take some photos. He argued he didn't want to, didn't know how.....:) I finally said, "Just grab the camara and shoot!" So he did. He captured this lovely, high key image of these fawns as they walked down the road together. I'm so glad he did what I told him to do, lol!

    Walking Together 2

This is another in the series of photographs Robert took. He said, "Just tell people you took these photos, don't tell them I did it. Because all I did was what you told me to do." I said, "Robert, I don't care, you held the camera, you aimed at the subject, you pushed the shutter, it's your photo."
