I went to take bird photos at Freezout Lake. Had a great day shooting birds with my camera. On the way home, I was on the Fairfield Bench, looking out across the Sun River Valley toward the butte. About that time, a farmer lit his stubble field on fire and the smoke rose high to drift across the top of the butte. It was such an unusual sight, I had to capture it.
I went camping near Lincoln, Montana and when I woke up, the ground was covered with hoar frost. It was beautiful.
The pattern created in this mud puddle when it froze reminded me of a rose.
